Our Best Christmas Pageant ever..

Christmas pageant practice mayhem has begun.

The wise men busily were trying to figure out the combination to get into the offering box.

The shepherds found a wheelchair and were riding each other in circles.

The donkey tripped people, assumably on accident but we don’t know for sure. 藍

One of the shepherds and one of the sheep kept punching each other (as boys do)

One of the sheep was mad he had to put down his pokemon collection and huffed around a little, and another sheep would not walk and had to be hoisted/drug around by a much larger shepherd.

The angels and the Christmas star were talking about 8th grade dances, dates and what they were going to wear.

A narrator, virgin Mary, a stray angel and the young piano player busted out in a rather good sounding chorus of the Journey song “Don’t stop believing” which actually MIGHT be kind of appropriate for a nativity scene.

BUT. Nobody broke anything (either of themselves or of any church property 藍)

Friendships between the kids were strengthened

They used experiential learning to tuck the Christmas story in their busy little distracted minds and hopefully their hearts.

Practice #1 = Win

Thanks to our volunteer and my friend for being the ringleader of this particular circus.
